January Updates

Greetings from Project Atchison!

We had a great year in 2022 and we could not have done it all without you! Here are some highlights from the past year:

• Tool Drive for Habitat for Humanity - lots of good stuff donated - thank you!

• A new website! www.projectatchison.org

• Extreme Neighborhood Makeover - 5 homes repainted, two porches built, over 100 volunteers!

• PorchFest - epic music event to be continued in 2023!

• Atchison Area Community Foundation Match Day - thank you again for the donations to keep us going!

• Parks clean-up day with BC students - 4 parks and over 70 volunteers!

• Candidate Meet-and-Greet - being a part of local government is important!

• Shop Atchison Saturday - over $5,000 recorded in small business sales and a great raffle drawing!

• Stop, Collaborate, & Listen (Homelessness) - great conversation with local non-profits, to be continued in 2023!

I am excited to share our upcoming events:

• Our monthly meeting will be at the Atchison Event Center on Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 7pm. We will be planning our Neighborhood Makeover and PorchFest.

• Stop, Collaborate, & Listen with local non-profits, Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Atchison Public Library (4-5pm). We will be discussing how to help those close to homelessness.
