September Updates: Meet up, Mural, & Music Bingo

Greetings from Project Atchison!

It’s Christa here, your new President of Project Atchison. First, a huge thank you to everyone who gave during Match Day last week—we raised $1,346.07 before the match (final numbers coming soon)! Your generosity fuels the projects that bring new life and energy to our community.

But can I be honest for a minute? We can’t stop there. We need you.

Did you know that most Project Atchison events/initiatives are planned and run by fewer than ten people? Ten amazing, hard-working (and sometimes exhausted!) volunteers are carrying the weight. If we want to do more for Atchison, we need more hands, more voices, and more of YOU.

Here’s how you can jump in:

👉 This Month

• Project Atchison Local Meet-Up: Join us Tuesday, September 2, 7–8 pm at Pace & Bene Bookstore (503 Commercial St.) for gelato and a conversation about the future of Project Atchison. Bring your ideas—we want to know what projects, events, and initiatives you think will make the biggest impact.

• 9th & Commercial Mural: Thanks to Benedictine College volunteers, the wall is almost ready! Our next workday will wrap up priming and start stenciling the winning design. Stay tuned for details.

👉 Next Month

• Music Bingo Fundraiser: Save the date for Wednesday, October 2 at Servaes Brewing Company (118 S. 2nd). Expect music, prizes, and a whole lot of community fun... all while raising support for future projects.
