November update

Greetings from Project Atchison!

As we move into a season of thankfulness, I want to thank those that gave on Match Day and report our totals.  Our total donation amount was $5,501. 37 with a community match of $2,112.54 for a grand total of $7,613.91.  Thank you to all that gave!  These donations will make it possible to continue our mission of making Atchison a better place to live!  I also want to thank those that helped finish our projects at Warnock Lake.  We painted two of the pavilions and helped to install new signs on the disc golf course.  The City of Atchison was great in helping get the posts installed for the new signs. Thank you!

Here is a list of the things we have in the works....

• Saturday, Nov. 23 - Shop Atchison Saturday - We will be giving away gift certificates and supporting local businesses! Plan to shop downtown Atchison on this Saturday!

• PorchFest - May 10 from 2-6pm. Free music from local bands on local porches!

• Exterior home repair projects - We will be looking for projects to help those that are unable to work on their homes due to disability or financial hardship.  Please contact us if you have a need or know someone that does.

• Want to learn more about these projects? Join us at the Atchison Event Center for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7pm!
