Greetings from Project Atchison!
First, I want to thank all of you that attended PorchFest, played music, and for those of you that volunteered for the event. We had a great turnout and I would estimate double the attendance from last year (~500-600 people or more).
Here is more information about our upcoming events:
Our monthly meeting will be at the Atchison Event Center (710 S. 9th St) on Tuesday, June 6, at 7pm. We have a lot of things on the agenda:
Discussion of PorchFest and how to proceed in future years. Also, we will discuss survey results. People can still respond to the survey here.
Election of an at-large board member. Please consider joining our board. The requirements for this position are:
Regularly attends meetings.
Ensures all organizational activities/projects align the organization's mission.
Makes serious commitment to participate actively in sub-committee and organizational work.
Volunteers for and willingly accepts assignments and completes them thoroughly and on time.
Participates in fundraising for the organization.
Discussion of bench painting with the Atchison Art Association.
On August 18, we will be joining the Atchison Area Community Foundation for Match Day. More details will be coming soon!
