July Update

Greetings from Project Atchison!

Many thanks to those that helped the City with their neighborhood cleanup on June 20 & 21!  It is amazing what a group of determined people can do!  The City of Atchison will be doing other neighborhood cleanups in the future, so please check our Facebook page for more information.

What's next?

• Join us at the Atchison Event Center for our monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 1 at 7pm!  All are invited!  Even if you have never come before, please consider joining us.

• Interest in helping with a mural? We will be painting a mural in downtown Atchison, with the help of local volunteers.  We will be power-washing a wall, priming and painting.  No artistic skill needed to help!  Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering with this project ASAP.

• Project Atchison board elections will be held on August 5th at our monthly meeting.  There are several board positions that will be open and all terms are only two years.  If you have interest in guiding this organization, joining the board is an excellent way to do that.

• Match Day - 4-7pm, August 22 at the Atchison Event Center (710 S. 9th).   This come-and-go event is a great chance to see the work area nonprofits are doing in the community and to give to great causes.  Matching funds of $150,000 will be available to provide a prorated match for funds raised by participating fundholders, like Project Atchison.
