February Update

Greetings from Project Atchison!

Spring is coming and we have lots of ways for you to get involved in the Atchison community!

• Our February monthly meeting will be Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 7pm at the Atchison Event Center (710 S. 9th).  We need your help planning:

• Neighborhood Makeover - April several weekends

• PorchFest - May 4

• Our Neighborhood Makeover this year will focus on senior citizens that need help, we will include others if we can.  We will be working with Habitat for Humanity again to work on the exterior of homes that need a revitalization.  The application for low-income homeowners is here.  We already have several that have signed up - many need help with porches and stairs that need repair.  The homeowner application deadline is Feb. 15.   If you are interested in volunteering, please keep your eyes peeled for more information to come soon.  We plan on doing the work over several weekends in April.

• The 3rd annual PorchFest will be May 4 and we are still taking applications for musicians. The application can be found here.  Sponsorship and volunteer opportunities will be available soon.
